چکیده

Serving as the successor to ERA-Interim dataset, a new global reanalysis (i.e., ERA5) has been released by European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts. However, evaluation of performance ERA5 in relation Tibetan Plateau (TP) remains lacking. Using situ eddy covariance observations from eight stations located on TP, this study evaluated uncertainties both and ERA-Interim. Results showed that effectively corrects overestimation sensible heat flux (H) latent (LE) over which is severe In most seasons, bias errors (BEs) H LE are generally smaller than ERA-Interim, although BEs wintertime spring autumn not decreased significantly ERA5. The spatiotemporal relationships with Global Land Data Assimilation System (GLDAS) Evaporation Amsterdam Model (GLEAM) data were investigated. Analysis correlation coefficients root mean squared revealed large inconsistency between ERA5/ERA-Interim GLDAS, but good agreement GLEAM. Overall, level GLEAM was better Anomaly (ACCs) two ERA datasets (ERA5 ERA-Interim) reference (GLDAS GLEAM) also ACC results further confirmed terms TP.

Estimation of land surface temperature retrieved from EOS/MODIS in Naqu area over Tibetan Plateau

Using split window algorithms developed by Sobrino, added a suff icient and simple cloud detection process for MODIS L1B data. Then based on land surface classif ication (land, water, snow & ice), retrieved four land surface temperature images for clear sky in Naqu area over Tibetan Plateau in January, April, June and October in 2007, respectively. After that the derived LST was compared with t...

Mass Flux Solution in the Tibetan Plateau Using Mascon Modeling

Mascon modeling is used in this paper to produce the mass flux solutions in the Tibetan Plateau. In the mascon modeling, the pseudo observations and their covariance matrices are derived from the GRACE monthly gravity field models. The sampling density of the pseudo observations is determined based on the eigenvalues of the covariance matrices. In the Tibetan Plateau, the sampling density of pe...

Winter Mesospheric Thermal Structure over Tibetan Plateau

A mobile Rayleigh temperature lidar was deployed in Golmud (36.25°N 94.54°E), Qinghai in China for making measurements of mesosphere temperature from 55 up to 90 km. The mesospheric thermal structure was obtained during the winter seasons of Year 2013 and Year 2014. At the altitude of 57~79 km, lidar temperatures were much colder than the MSIS-00 model predictions. However, in the lower mesosph...
